
The Torrey Pines Docent Society and the Torrey Pines Conservancy will host the 100th anniversary celebration of the historic Torrey Pines Lodge at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 8. There will be opening festivities with a number of VIPs.
Following the opening ceremony, there will be a variety of educational booths to explore. Guides will take you on historic tours of the Lodge and its surroundings.
The historic Torrey Pines Lodge has been a much-loved landmark in the Torrey Pines State Reserve and in the region for a century. It was donated by Ellen Browning Scripps and intended to be a “gateway” to San Diego.
Program:
8:30 am the La Jolla Regional Horseless Carriage Club San Diego will be driving in and up to the Lodge parking lot.
9:00 m the Early Ford V-8 Club will meet up in the South Beach lot. They plan to then drive up the hill at 9:45. (This will coincide with the other group coming down).
9:40 am shuttle departs from South Beach parking lot & will run continuous loops from the bottom of the hill to the historic Lodge

10:00 am- 1:00 pm Guided Flower walks at Guy Fleming (every 1/2 hour)
