How to get to Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO)

SIO is located at the beach just north of La Jolla Shores on the UCSD campus. Sumner Auditorium is located on the southern part of the SIO campus a short distance from the pier.

Southbound on I-5

• Exit Genesee right (west).
• Turn left (south) onto North Torrey Pines Road.
• Turn right onto La Jolla Shores Drive, go 0.8 mi.
• Turn right onto Biological Grade, go 200 ft.
• Bear left downhill to parking
• Park in Lot 11 or 12.
• Follow the signs and walk to Martin Johnson House
  (T-29).

Northbound on I-5 or Westbound on SR-52

• Exit at La Jolla Parkway going west. Slight left at Torrey Pines Road, go 400 ft.
• Turn right onto La Jolla Shores Drive, go north 1.1 mi.
• Turn left onto Naga Way, go 350 ft.
• Continue north on Biological Grade 0.2 mi. to parking.
• Park in Lot 11 or 12.
• Follow the signs and walk to Martin Johnson House (T-29).
